RyAnn Rohrer - High School Athlete Honorees - 2022
RyAnn Rohrer is a 2022 graduate of Ludington High School and participated in swimming, basketball, and track & field while an Oriole. RyAnn qualified for the swimming state championships 15 times while in high school. She was Academic All-State in swimming in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. She was also All-Conference first team in swimming 11 times and second team five times. She set three Donald Baldwin pool records and four Ludington High School records. RyAnn was also All-State Honorable Mention in basketball in 2021-22 and was named to the BCAM Academic All-State Team in 21-22 and named Outstanding Senior Student-Athlete Award recipient. She was All-Conference in basketball twice, leading her team to the Conference Co-Champs twice. In 2021-22, her basketball team made it to the MHSAA semifinals. RyAnn was a MHSAA State Champion in both the shot put (41' 11") and discus (135' 7") in track & field in 2022. She was also the Conference Champion in both shot put and discus. She set a Mason County shot put record of 44' 6" in 2022 and was the West Michigan Invitational Shot Champion in 2021 and 2022. Rohrer was named LHS All-Around Senior Athlete Award recipient in 2022 and concluded her high school career with a 4.1 grade point average. After graduation, RyAnn represented Team Michigan in the Midwest Meet of Champions at Indiana Wesleyan University and won the shot put, throwing 47' 0.75" and was sixth in the discus with a throw of 129' 11".
