Nyvaeh Wendt - Life Lesson Awards Honorees - 2025

Nyvaeh Wendt Nyvaeh, daughter of Syerra Wendt and the late Josh Boerma, started her freshman year at Mason County Central and struggled a bit academically. She was determined to improve, and she did. Through focus and hard work, Nyvaeh has improved her grade point average each year to a 2.8. All-State twice in wrestling, Nyvaeh has a scholarship to wrestle at Sienna Heights University in the fall. She was the captain of the wrestling team her senior year, earning 100 career wins and was the first female wrestler to be named all-state. Along with wrestling, Nyvaeh participated in cross country, softball and track & field, earning 12 varsity letters. The charity Nyvaeh chose as the recipient of the donation given in her honor by the Mason County Sports Hall of Fame is 5-Cap. Fighting through adversity and beating the odds is a life lesson we can all learn from Nyvaeh.
