Chazz Rohrer - High School Athlete Honorees - 2021

A graduate of Ludington High School, Chazz Is the son of Christopher and D’ann Rohrer. His athletic accomplishments are spread over his entire four years of high school and include soccer, swimming, and track & field. Chazz, as a four-year member of the Oriole swim team, he was first team all-conference in 2017 through 2021. He was Swim Team Captain his senior year, and was All State in the 50 Meter Freestyle in 2019-2020. According to his coach, Mr. Schneider: “Chazz is a goal oriented individual and works hard to achieve them. He is also willing to go above and beyond to help his teammates become better.” Mr. Rohrer was also quite accomplished out of the water on the playing field of soccer. He was All-conference second team in 2020. Selected as Most Improved soccer player in 2020 and also received the Oriole Pride award. He was selected as WMOM Athlete of Week during 2021. In addition, to being good with his feet, he was a master in the classroom being selected as All-Academic Individual and Team recipient. Chazz was also a member of the Oriole Track and Field team, and was selected as All-Conference in 2019 and 2021. Conference champion in Discus in 2019, and Champion in Discus & Shot Put 2021. Chazz was a Michigan High School Athletic Association State Qualifier in throwing the Disc & the Shot Put. In 2021 he was All-State in Shot Put. Music was also important to Chazz, he was a member of the LHS Jazz, Wind Symphony, and Marching Band. In addition to being athletic & musical, he excelled in the classroom. He was a LHS Alpha Graduate, Advanced Placement in Calculus (Score of 4 on Examine), Advanced Placement in US History, a member of the National Honor Society, and dual enrolled at West Shore Community College. He was involved in 4-H, Philanthropy Education, and International Exchange as a HOST and Traveler to Norway in 2018. His GPA was 3.91. Chazz will be continuing his education at West Shore Community College in fall of 2021.
