Payton Haynes, selected by the MCSHOF Board of Directors as the 2025 Female Senior Athlete of the Year, has excelled in both track & field as a pole vaulter and hurdler and in equestrian at Mason County Eastern. Ludington's equestrian teams have a rich history of success, including 25 years of continuous state qualification. In 2017, there were 42 equestrian teams in the B Division and Ludington captured the state championship.
