Nannette (Gillispie) Clearing Sky-Christensen - MCSHOF Inductee - 2023
Nannette Gillispie Clearing-Sky Christensen graduated from Ludington High School in 1984. She won eleven varsity letters in basketball, volleyball and softball. Gillispie was the first Ludington girls basketball player to score 1000 points, setting points records for career, 1312, season, 479 and single game, 38. A four-year starter, she earned all-conference honors three-years and was selected to the Muskegon Chronicle all-area team twice in both basketball and softball. Gillispie earned first team basketball all-state honors in 1982 and 1983 and was named all-state honorable mention in softball. She received the BCAM B/C All-Star Game Most Outstanding Performance Award in 1983. Gillispie was a three-year starter in volleyball and all-conference three years. In 1983, the softball team was state runner-up and in 1984, the volleyball team won the District Championship. Gillispie was an LHS Alpha Graduate and received the U.S. Army Reserve National Student Athlete Award. She attended the University of Michigan, played two seasons of basketball, graduating in 1989. Gillispie earned her Juris Doctor in Law and is the Senior Associate for a global Public Relations Firm. Gillispie Clearing Sky Christensen established a foundation for Independent and Democratic Ukraine and represented Ukraine in negotiations with U.S. business interests.
