Miriam Manier - Life Lesson Awards Honorees - 2023

Miriam Manier and Nathan Wing were selected as the Mason County Sports Hall of Fame 2023 Life Lesson Award honorees from Mason County Eastern High School. Miriam is the daughter of David and Mary Anne Manier and Nathan is the son of Daniel and Diane Wing. Miriam earned four varsity letters in track and field and multiple West Michigan D League all-conference honors and served as the team captain. In 2021, Miriam was an individual National Runner-up as a member of the Elite Dance team and her team won the National Championship. Miriam maintained a 3.83 grade point average, was a four year member of the Community Foundation Youth Advisory Council, a three year member of student council, National Honor Society, Varsity Club and SADD. While a student in the CTE Allied Health program, Miriam earned certifications in phlebotomy, CPR/AED, OSHA, EKG specialist and certified nursing assistant. Miriam will attend Michigan State University, majoring in Nursing with a specialty as a NICU nurse. Miriam's leadership and respect is demonstrated in every activity in which she engages. Hug All the Earth of Ludington is the recipient of a donation given in her honor. She is a role model for her peers and younger students by leading by example of hard work and positive attitude.
