Kurtis Basler - Life Lesson Awards Honorees - 2024

Kurtis Basler is one of the 2024 Mason County Sports Hall of Fame Life Lessons Award recipients from Mason County Central High School. Kurtis is a four-year member of the Spartan Bowling team, leading the team with the highest average all four years. While competing athletically, Kurtis maintained a sparkling 4.0 gpa during his academic career. Kurtis’ bowling coach, James Hartman, said of Kurtis, “He constantly inspired his teammates and made them want to be better.” Kurtis is being honored for his leadership and teamwork. Following graduation, Kurtis will attend West Shore Community College. His college major is undecided at this time. Kurtis is the son of Kim Basler. The Mason County Animal Control is Kurtis’ charity of choice and will receive a donation in Kurtis’ honor.
