Jack Stidham - Life Lesson Awards Honorees - 2024

Jack Stidham, son of Steve and Deni Stidham, is one of two individuals from Ludington High School to receive the 2024 Mason County Sports Hall of Fame Life Lessons Award. Jack has chosen Give Hope RV as the charity to receive the donation given in Jack’s honor. Jack currently has a grade point average of 3.873 while participating in such courses as AP Calculus, AP World History and AP Computer Science Principles. Jack competed in tennis, basketball, baseball and golf during his time as a Ludington Oriole. Jack was the conference champion in the flight 3 tennis singles and earned regional runner-up and state quarterfinal honors. Jack was honored to be selected to the Academic All-State and All-Area teams, Local Sports Journal Player of the Month and was a finalist for the Catchmark Sportsnet Player of the Year in tennis. The Orioles basketball team won the District championship in Jack’s senior campaign. In addition to his work in the classroom and in athletics, Jack has volunteered during his educational career. He was a member of the National Honor Society and has volunteered to read with elementary school students, even dressing up as the “Cat in the Hat” for Read Across America Day. Jack has also volunteered with foster care families within Mason County. After high school, Jack will work with C&I Electric to begin his electrical apprenticeship and will take classes at West Shore Community College as he works toward a Journeyman Electrician license in the hopes of owning his own business. Outside of school, Jack works for Motyka Lawn Service and is a part of his church’s youth group. Jack is the recipient of the Life Lessons Award because of his leadership, perseverance and his ability to overcome adversity.
