Caleb Anthony - MCSHOF Inductee - 2023

Caleb Anthony, a 2001 graduate of Ludington High School, was all-state in football and in discus and shot put in track and field. He was a two-time all-American wrestler at Cadet National Championships; a seven-time Greco-Roman and Freestyle state champion—winning his first championship at age eight. In football, Anthony was All-Muskegon Area First Team, was selected to the Coaches East-West All- Star Game, was all-conference three years and was Academic All-State. In track, Anthony was state runner-up twice in the discus, with a throw of 163’6” in 2000 and 175’8” in 2001.  Additionally, he was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 52’10” and set the LHS school records in shot and discus in 2001. Anthony was a four-time conference champion in discus and shot put, a regional champion three times and regional runner-up once. Anthony competed for Team Michigan in discus in the 2021 Midwest Meet of Champions. In 2001, Anthony was Academic All-State in track and field, a Detroit Free Press Scholar-Athlete and a LHS Alpha Grad with Highest Honors. He was a finalist for the Michigan High School Male Athlete of the Year. With a full athletic football scholarship at Central Michigan University, Anthony played three years and received the CMU Student-Athlete Award twice. After graduating in 2005 from CMU, Anthony pursued a career in law, passing the California Bar Exam on the first attempt. He now practices law in California.
